Humble Bundle Launches ‘Humble Monthly’ Subscription

By now you should all know just what the Humble Bundle is. In case you’ve been living under a rock though, the Humble Bundle is a regular collection of games, usually by indie developers, which you can purchase for as much or as little as you like. Typically the more you pay, the more games you unlock, and a portion of your purchase will always go to charity.

The original idea has expanded over time, with bundles specifically for mobile games, e-books and comics, and even a weekly bundle. There’s also a Humble Store, which has a constant feed of games with serious discounts, almost like an ever-ending Steam Sale, as horrifying as that prospect may be.

In a move that somehow seems inevitable, the minds behind Humble Bundle have now announced the Humble Monthly subscription service. In short, you pay $10 (which is around £8 in real money), and each month you receive a bundle of games, curated by them, with games that haven’t appeared in any previous bundles.

Each new bundle is due to be released on the first Friday of the month at 11:00 AM PST. You won’t be able to pick up previous months’ bundles after the fact, so it may be a good idea to get in on the ground floor for this one. Especially given that if you sign up now, you’ll land yourself a free copy of Legend of Grimrock 2. You’ve got until November 6th to order the first bundle.

It remains to be seen what kind of games we’ll see in the Humble Monthly bundles, but given the (usually) high quality of their normal fare, it’s probably a safe bet. There’s a full FAQ already set up for the service, so head on over if you need to check anything out before subscribing.
