174: Director Stu Paul and actor Fran Kranz talk about Catan, and the Settlers thereof.

It’s short film night at the Robot, as writer/director Stu Paul and actor Fran Kranz stop by to talk about their work on The Lord of Catan, a short film (also starring Amy Acker) that threatens to expose the dark truth of playing board games with your spouse. Turning from light comedy to the surreal, The Lord of Catan promises entertainment for the uninitiated as well as hardcore gamers.

Listen to the episode to hear their thoughts on the art of short films, how to hate someone you love for the camera, and to hear Andrew get unprofessionally gushy about Much Ado About Nothing. Then, take your wallet over to the Kickstarter page for The Lord of Catan, and get yourself a seat for a short film whose description name-checks Fooly Cooly. (And you know Stu is one of us, because he totally spelled it “Furi Kuri.” Opinions about anime? CHECK. Go give this guy a pledge, already.)
