According to a recent new story on io9, casting has begun for a show based on the 2009 film Zombieland. Zombieland is a movie that I really loved when it came out, and as a fan one of the things that kept coming up as I followed the movie was that it was originally created as a TV series. Now, four year later, it seems as though it might find its way back to the small screen.

The script pages io9 was able to obtain show that the series will follow the same characters as the film. Among the roles in the breakdown were Tallahassee, Columbus, Wichita, and Little Rock who were portrayed in the film by Woody Harrelson, Jesse Eisenberg, Emma Stone, and Abigail Breslin, respectively. The pages also outline a few minor characters that would be a part of the series.

With The Walking Dead doing so well in the ratings it makes a whole lot of sense that a Zombieland TV show would find itself back in the discussion. I think that a half hour zombie comedy would be an interesting experiment. For more specifics on the character descriptions head over to the original article on io9.
