Dead Space 3 Will Feature Mass Effect Cosplay

Dead Space 3 is due for release in a matter of days, and I’m starting to get excited for it now. The demo for the game (released last week with mini-review incoming) impressed me by feeling rather familiar, which in the case of Dead Space, is no bad thing. Not sure about the cover mechanics though.
But, that’s a story for another today. Today, let’s talk about the fact that EA has just revealed a new unlockable suit for Isaac Clarke and John Carver, Dead Space 3′s protagonists. The new suit is themed to look very much like the N7 armour worn by Commander Shepard of Mass Effect fame.
This isn’t a new thing, as EA is fond of this kind of cross-promotion. Mass Effect 3 and Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning had a similar unlock system; playing the demo for one game unlocked armour and weapons in the other. To unlock the N7 armour for Dead Space 3, all you have to do is ensure you have a Mass Effect 3 file and play Dead Space 3. The armour is available for the PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 versions of the game.
I’d feel offended if I wasn’t already excited by this. Yes, I’m that shallow.
