Cast of New Michael J Fox Series Expands

Frequenters of the site may remember a story I reported back in August about news of Michael J. Fox‘s return to TV. His series, still unnamed, will revolve around a character whose life is loosely based on the actor’s own life. Now Deadline is breaking the news of the most recent addition to the series: Wendell Pierce, who has most recently been seen as Antoine Batiste on HBO’s Treme, will co-star in the series as the boss of Fox’s character. Pierce’s Bob Harris is being described as, “a slick, twice divorced man” whose personality is apparently based on the actor’s personality.
While Treme just finished airing its third season, production on the shortened fourth, and final, season has just wrapped. This seems like perfect timing for Pierce, who will transition from the HBO drama right into the Michael J. Fox comedy. The comedy is expected to begin airing its 22 episode order in Fall 2013.
