Space Hulk Coming to PC, Mac and iOS
The first game I bought for the original Playstation was Space Hulk.
It was terrible.
The combat was repetitive and easy to master, the graphics were blocky and jumpy, the voicework was painful and the supposedly blood-red armor of the mighty Blood Angels was a wishy-washy orange color.
I loved it.
So you might be able to imagine my excitement at the news of a new Space Hulk game in the works.
Currently being developed by Danish company Full Control, Space Hulk will feature both singleplayer and multiplayer options. The singleplayer follows the campaign of the most recent boxed version of the game, meaning you’ll control a squad of Blood Angel Terminators clearing the space hulk “Sin of Damnation.”
The multiplayer mode will allow one player to control the Blood Angels while the other controls the Genestealers, and will be playable across all platforms, which is very interesting.
Full Control are a relatively unknown developer, and have thus far stuck mostly to turn-based strategy games. They’ve yet to receive any noteworthy bad reviews, but have equally failed to deliver anything that’s grabbed particularly good reviews.
For the longest time, Games Workshop had a terrible habit of pairing with sub-par developers to deliver sub-par video games, and the brand suffered for it. With Dawn of War and Space Marine, that trend appeared to have been broken.
I’ll remain cautiously optimistic and hope that Space Hulk proves me wrong.

I really hope we wind up getting a co-op multiplayer mode, me and some friends charging around as Blood Angels sounds quite heavenly.
