Kickstarter Deadline: Shattered Timelines
I don’t normally spend too much time covering Kickstarter. But, when a Game of the Year has an amazing deal on its last Kickstarter, I can’t help but make sure my readers know about it.
The Kickstarter for the newest expansion, Shattered Timelines, has wildly overfunded it’s initial $20,000 goal and, as of this writing, is very near $150,000. And that is important for two reasons. First, the Kickstarter not only allows you to buy the expansion, but also any of the earlier expansions, mini-expansion, or even the Enhanced Edition base set.
But, because of the success of the Kickstarter, it also contains a wide distribution of free extras including a bonus hero, villain, and environment (likely to be sold separately after the Kickstarter), extra tokens (also probably available afterward), and promo characters. A total of eight promos (potentially nine) are being offered. In the past, promos have only been available at cons or through Kickstarter and the folks at Greater than Games have already stated that they have no current plans to re-print old promos. So this is potentially the last chance to secure some of these options for long while.
