Grab Deadlight For Cheap In The Steam Halloween Sale

In summing up my review of Deadlight last month, I said that it was, “a fun game, with moments of greatness, but ends up feeling like it could have been an awful lot better with as much work put into the story as there was in the art.” I stand by that assessment still; it’s a good game, just flawed enough to stop it from being a great game, but definitely worth picking up.

Sadly, until recently, if you didn’t have an Xbox 360 you weren’t able to play it at all, given that it was exclusive to Xbox Live Arcade. But now, Deadlight became available on Steam on October 25th. It’s currently part of the Steam Halloween Sale, which will net you a 15% discount alongside other notable games such as Left 4 Dead 2 and Limbo. You should note that the sale ends on November 1st.

You can also pick up the soundtrack on Steam as well. If you read my review of the game, you may remember that I praised the music quite highly. Oddly enough, you can only buy the soundtrack if you’ve bought the game. I think I’ll try and find out what’s going on there, because that is one thing I would love to have that in my ears around Halloween.
