Board Game News Roundup: Sentinels Incoming!

Through time and space, the Multiverse heroes will battle their foes

  • I know we have a few fans of Sentinels of the Multiverse around these parts… well guess what. This coming Tuesday, the latest Sentinels expansion, Shattered Timelines, will be available on Kickstarter. My inside sources tell me we’ll be seeing Visionary’s nemesis, and a hero known as “La Capitan” (which definitely has a John De Lancie ring to it when you say it aloud). All I know for sure is that this game will definitely deal with some time travelling! Get ready fans for the campaign this week and check out some other art from the game below!

Is it a Hero? A Villain? I actually do not know but it looks awesome!

I’ve been told this art comes from a Villain deck. Is someone possessing a hero? We can only wait to find out!

  • Ok, ok, I know we have some great Sentinels fans out there but for others, there’s other great things that have been announced in the board gaming world. Plaid Hat Games has received and begun to send out pre-orders for Mice and Mystics. As well, they’ve made an extra Halloween scenario available online. Check it out here!

Faramir, Gollum and more… This game is slowing bubbling up my desire list…

  • News has been trickling out of Essen about the Lord of the Rings Dice building game. The game is semi-cooperative and will task players with battling Sauron’s forces as represented by dice that must be attacked by yours. I’m currently imagining this to be less competitive than Quarriors and much more of a “us against the game” type which sounds really fun on the surface. I haven’t quite been able to find a solid description of the rules or dice but please enjoy the teaser pic above (via BGG).

if there’s one thing this world needs, it’s a 215th Cooperative Lord of the Rings game

La Capitan is actually a villain! But enough about that!
