According to a recent article at Deadline, Fox is moving into the video game arena by developing EA’s Battlefield into a TV show. The project currently in development for the network is an hour long action-comedy based on the Bad Company installment of the franchise. The script for the pilot will be written by John Eisendrath, who will produce alongside Sony TV – where he is under a development deal – and Happy Madison.

The specifics of the project are few and far between, mostly because of the early stage in development, but there are some things we do know. The series is said to follow four renegade soldiers as they exit military life and enter the private sector. Not all goes well for them though, as they soon realize that their commanding officer had used them to further the ends of a shadow unit within the government and now wants them dead to cover it up.
