DC HeroClix: Batman Previews – Warblade
Howdy Clixers!
Today’s DC HeroClix: Batman preview out of Wizkids/NECA is a character that’s always interested me, but whom I’ve neglected to really get into. With brand new, first-time-Clixed characters and teams always appreciated, let’s take a look at Reno Bryce, more commonly known as Warblade from the WildC.A.T.S.
Bryce took on the mantle of Warblade to avenge his parents who were murdered by the Daemonites.
Warblade kicks off his movement slot with two clicks of Charge, so he can get where he has to to do the most damage. Showing off his high martial arts skills, Warblade’s next two clicks have Flurry. Following two clicks with no powers, Charge and Flurry show up again, respectively, for his last two clicks.
Warblade has the ability to make deadly blade-shaped objects from any part of his body. On his dial, it is represented by Blades/Claws/Fangs on his first click and every second click for his entire dial.
In his defense slot, Warblade starts off the Bio-Morphic Shield special power:
Warblade can use Toughness. If he has no action tokens, Warblade can use Barrier as a free action until your next turn, but places up to 2 terrain markers.
Throughout his dial, Warblade has a healthy sprinkling of both the the Bio-Morphic Shield special power and Regeneration.
And last, but most definitely not least, in his damage slot, Warblade has Exploit Weakness and Close Combat Expert for dealing out extra damage in hand-to-hand combat.
Weighing in at 92 points, Warblade is a unique (meaning you can only use one on your force) and has the Indomitable combat ability, which allows him to use Willpower, protecting him from pushing damage, making him even more dangerous.
I’m really looking forward to trying him out on either a Martial Artist or WildC.A.T.S keyword team.
That’s it for today. Tune in same bat-time, same bat-channel for more DC HeroClix: Batman previews.
Until then? Keep on Clixin’.
