Baldur’s Gate Enhanced Edition delayed to November
Well, you win some and you lose some.
On the one hand, we have the news that Obsidian Entertainment are working on a new RPG in the classic style. On the other hand, however, we have news that Baldur’s Gate Enhanced Edition has been delayed until November.
I reported on the announcement of Baldur’s Gate Enhanced Edition a while back. The classic PC RPG, overhauled with HD textures, with new adventures and characters was originally due to launch in the next week or two.
Alas, with new material comes new bugs, which have apparently caused Overhaul Games, the game’s developer, to push the release date back to November. You can read the full statement on the reasons for the delay here. In short: bugs.
I’m not too bothered, personally. The delay means that I might, just might, have time to save up for an iPad. Playing Baldur’s Gate on the train? That’ll do nicely. Spare a thought for poor Andrew though, I think he has his little heart set on this.
