Miniatures Fans Unite! Bones Kickstarter Campaign is Almost at an End

I feel strange posting about this campaign, but I know how many miniatures fans, table top gamers, and RPG fans there are out there in the GFBR universe who would love to hear about this kickstarter campaign. This is an awesome way to pimp out your games.

Bones is a miniature line from Reaper Miniatures. You know, the guys who are NOT Games Workshop and have generally had cheaper minis available. They’ve been around for a long time and have had a line of metal minis.

In the last year, Reaper has started a new line of miniatures called Bones. These new minis are plastic, but a new kind of plastic that’s a little more durable (and bendy-ish). It’s also significantly cheaper than metal and it’s allowed them to offer much more affordable minis. But being a crappy economy and all, it takes a long time to fully build a miniature line and they’ve projected that it will take a least a few years before they’re up to speed.

Enter their Kickstarter campaign. Purely designed to increase their lineup of minis, Reaper is running a campaign to get ahold of their new minis for a crazy low price. For $100, you’re currently getting over 180 miniatures with a ton of variety in the models themselves (It looks like at least 100 different models. The campaign is on fire now in its last 48 hours, with a whopping $1.8 million. Also, Every 100k or so, they’re adding a bunch of new minis to everyone’s orders.

If you’re needing minis for any table top game you own, DnD/Pathfinder campaign, or you want to pimp out certain board games, this is your campaign. Never have I seen minis going for ~50 cents.

Here’s a current look at all the minis you get for their Vampire level. Note this may be out of date as this campaign is flying up like crazy.

Now that's a lot of minis...
