The Next Dresden Files Book = Finished!

jim-butcher.com

Long time GFBRobot peeps will know that I am a huge Dresden Files freak. Big. Like, super-duper huge. Well, if you’re like me, and this is a safe place, it’s ok for you to admit your deep love for Ol’ Harry, then you have been suffering the same withdrawals I have been suffering.

Our last book from the Dresden-Verse, Ghost Story, was released in July of last year. July! And it’s mid-August! Gaw! But

fear not fellow Dresdenites (er, uh, it was better than Harryiers), there are finally updates on the next book. This is what I know:

  1. The next book is Cold Days.
  2. Jim Butcher is finally done writing it.
  3. Cold Days has been delivered to the publisher.
  4. We are just waiting for the cover art and publishing date.
  5. As soon as I know, Ill let you know!

So there you have it. Cold Days. Soon. Ish. I suspect a publishing date somewhere between late September and the end of October. I hope. Because this waiting is killing me. Killing Me!!

I am obsessed with this series … either @GFBRobot or @GFBRdarci suggested the books to me, and I read the whole series as quickly as I could get my hands on it. I am so happy to hear that the next one will be out soonish!

Yeah, this was accompanied by a lot of squealing that didn’t make it into this article…

It is generally accepted that everything I write includes unwritten squealing.

Im rereading Changes and Ghost Story in preparation of the release. Sadly, it’ll come out after school starts again .. now Im gonna need to figure out how to manage all of that.

Heh. Me Too!! The show wasn’t completely terrible. It was No Where NEAR as awesome as the books, but, not totally terrible. I’m bummed the show didn’t have a second season to get comfy.
