Showtime Casts The Punisher in Dexter Role

Dexter’s seventh season is still five months away and we are already beginning to see casting news float around. TVLine caught the very first scoop when they announced that Ray Stevenson will be joining the cast in a major recurring role.
Stevenson will be playing a “high-ranking member of an Eastern European crime ring who arrives in Miami determined to learn who killed one of his associates.” Not much else is known about the character, including his importance to the season as a whole. As many Dexter fans know, the show tends to focus on one Arch Villain, or “Big Bad” to borrow a Whedonverse term, a year. Stevenson’s character may or may not be this season’s focus.
