Good News for Grimm Fans
NBC’s Grimm has been something of a beacon of light for the network on what is normally a dark night on an even darker network. The network’s ratings problems have been well documented, and those very same problems have helped several shows, most notably Chuck, hang around much longer than their ratings would grant them on any other network. For a show like Grimm, on a night like Friday, the roughly 5 million viewers with 1.5 million in the 18-49 demo is more than most would expect. Add to that the fact that the show gains an 87% increase in the demo when accounting for the DVR Live +7 ratings.
According to TVLine all of these factors have led NBC to announce the show’s renewal for season two well before May, when the fates of many other shows will be solidified. The show is filmed in Portland, OR near where I live, so although I have stopped watching the show, its renewal is still good news to my ears.
Are all of you still watching Grimm? If so, where might the show go in a second season? Sound off in the comments.

I stopped watching after a few episodes. It just wasn’t capturing my attention. Sad that a mediocre show like this gets renewed when stellar programs like Firefly and Arrested Development get canned.
I completely agree with you about the quality of the show. I couldnt make it through the second episode personally. That being said I have quite a few friends who like it a lot and claim it got better throughout its first season (seems like thats what people say about every show). Also, out of fairness Firefly and Arrested Development were both canned at Fox whereas NBC seems to be more lenient to bubble shows because of their overall ratings poverty (see Chuck getting 5 seasons and Community renewals for recent examples).
I agree about firefly, but you should’ve givin it more of a chance.Great story linewith humor to boot.Love the show and the ratings agree.

Grimm had a shaky start but found it’s groove near the end of the first season. I’m a few shows behind in season 2 but I think it’s off to a strong start and plan on catching up soon. It’s worth giving a second chance, for those who weren’t hooked in season 1.
