Star Trek/ Doctor Who Crossover

Keep your eyes open this May for comics featuring the crew from Star Trek: The Next Generation and The Doctor, Amy, and Rory. Bleeding Cool reports that IDW will be publishing a series combining the two comics. Neither show has ever had a crossover with another big sci-fi series, so even in comic form this is a big deal. IDW is attending the North American Doctor Who convention Gallifrey One this Feb 17th-19th, and it’s likely they’ll announce the official crossover there.
Can I out-nerd you for a second? “Neither show has ever had a crossover with another big sci-fi series…” It may not be what you’re talking about, but Star Trek: The Next Generation crossed over with the X-Men for a one-shot comic book (Second Contact) followed by a novel (Planet-X). I bring this up just because, from memory, they were pretty awesome.
But back to topic: This looks pretty sweet. I’ve been looking at both the Star Trek and Doctor Who comics and debating picking some up. But this may be what forces my hand
