Avengers Film Will Get 3D Treatment
Not content to leave any dollar under the cushions of fanboys everywhere, Marvel has confirmed to the Hollywood Reporter that this year’s The Avengers will go through the 3D post conversion that all modern movies are required to go through. This, of course, paves the way for better 3D effects, in the inevitable 3D onslaught that is sure to continue in theaters across the nation this summer. Never mind that most people don’t want to shell out an additional $5-8 for the 3D version that usually just ends up giving them headaches, or walletaches.
Me? I’d prefer the 3D craze just die already. But then I think about seeing Thor and Hulk battle on the big screen, with environments as lush as those seen on Pandora, or as clean as those in the Grid, and I forget all about those notions and go right back to saving my quarters for May 4, 2012 (U.S. release).

I don’t care if I have to pay an extra 5 bucks for smell-o-vision… I’m psyched to see this movie!
