Breakdance to Safety in The Old Republic

This is almost too good to be true.

The fine people over at Rock, Paper, Shotgun and Massively are reporting on an, ahem, groovy bug in Star Wars: The Old Republic.

Apparently, players are currently able to dance their way to safety by using the emote /getdown in combat. Doing so causes characters to burst into dance, and renders enemies unable to hit them. See below, assuming the video isn’t pulled before this article goes live.

Needless to say, this is very much regarded as an exploit in-game. Rumors and trolling abound at the moment, and no one seems to be able to agree if players are being banned for it or not. A quick look at the official forums shows no current threads talking about it, which may mean that any mentions of the exploit are being removed.

Either way, I wouldn’t advise giving it a try. Just in case. I would, however, suggest keeping an eye open to see what happens with this.

Really? I get to be the first one to say the Horatio-Caine-style terrible joke?

    Oh God.

And there was me trying to stay away from tired memes like that in order to class up the joint.
