If you’re heading to New York Comic Con this weekend, keep an eye out for A Wave Blue World’s table (#2542) because they’ve just announced that’s where they’ll release their new graphic novel, American Terrorist.

American Terrorist tells the tale of everyday Americans who just get sick and tired of the system and start their own revolution. American Terrorist weighs in at 214 pages with the creative team of Tyler & Wendy Chin-Tanner and Andy MacDonald.

The release at NYCC will be a limited, black-and-white edition, but at the same time online retailers such as Comixology will be releasing a full-color version with colors by Matt Wilson and Michael Wiggam.

The American people have been targeted for war. Covertly, the powers that be hope no one will notice, but as each day goes by, civil liberties, quality of life, healthcare coverage, pensions, homes and jobs are being taken away and the space between the haves and the have-nots continues to grow wider and wider.

Trapped between a rock and a hard place, four Americans find themselves fugitives from the law and decide to take the fight head-on against corruption and injustice. They tell their story through social media to inspire others to stand up for their rights.

So, this is a Comic-umentary based in The Bush Years, then? :-P

You mean a commentary on right NOW, Jeannie?

There’s a couple hundred people down the street from NYCC protesting this exact situation.

I’m interested in this, but I hope it’s more DMZ or Nightly News than jingoist propaganda. I also hope it isn’t fueled by the Heavy Ink D-bag.
