LEGO® Fans and Christians to Receive Brick Bible This Fall
I wouldn’t be surprised if LEGO® blocks were the true building blocks of life. They certainly seem to be in my case. Despite the opinion of some former haters, I am a grown-ass man who enjoys building and playing with LEGO sets. In my history with the wonderful little interlocking bricks, I have created many of my own creations. That’s probably my favorite part about playing with LEGO; figuring out ways of turning all the various combined sets into something unique and amazing. In doing so, I feel like I’m being creative yet also being practical, because my creations must be able to look good and be structurally sound enough to be played with. So, in a way, I am God over my LEGO blocks.
I must not be alone in that mentality, because for several years now I have returned to the Internet phenomenon that is The Brick Testament, by Brendan Powell Smith. For those who do not know, it is a recreation of the stories of the Bible using nothing but LEGO blocks. This takes my LEGO God Complex to a whole new and glorious level, one that is hilarious but also sometimes disturbing, just like many good Bible stories. There’s nothing that can prepare you for seeing a LEGO Abraham prepare to sacrifice his LEGO son, Isaac:
About the only thing that The Brick Testament has been lacking is an easier interface to appreciate it. Good news, though, because Skyhorse is releasing the whole glorious project in paperpack. Order your copy now, throw away or donate (or burn, you heathen!) your old, unused, full of “thous” and “thines” Bible, and replace it with something fun, visual, and accessible to children of all ages. I mean, when you crucify LEGO Jesus, it’s almost a cute story, right?
The Brick Bible: A New Spin On The Old Testament will be available online and in bookstores in the U.S. on October 1, 2011. You can pre-order copies now for $19.95 USD on Amazon.

HAWHAWHAW, Whoa. That is awesome, and wacky, and truly disturbing.
