In case you missed it, here is the trailer for the long awaited film, The Dark Knight Rises, due in theaters July 20, 2012. If you went to the latest Harry Potter film then you were treated to this trailer in the previews before the movie started. But you can catch it out now from the comfort of the Robot:
The Dark Knight Rises is loaded with stars: Christian Bale, Morgan Freeman, Michael Caine, Gary Oldman, Tom Hardy, Anne Hathaway, Marion Cotillard, and Joseph Gordon-Levitt. The film is directed by Christopher Nolan and is set to conclude his take on the Dark Knight.
There isn’t much going on in the trailer, just enough to whet our appetites for more. Most excruciating is that the film won’t come out for another year. Despite some speculation that we’ve reached a saturation point in comic-book themed movies, I’m excited to see it. Yet, as excited as I am to see this film, I’m saddened at the prospect of ending this satisfying resurrection of the franchise after it had reached such a low during the Joel Schumacher years.
