I have never so quickly become a fan of an artist as I have Alan Robert. When I was given the opportunity to advance review the first issue of his Crawl to Me comic book from IDW Publishing last week, he took my world by storm. Now I’m listening to the music of Life of Agony, I’ve rushed out and bought his Wire Hangers TPB, and I’m eagerly awaiting more Crawl to Me.

To celebrate the release of Crawl to Me #1 in July, Alan Robert has partnered with Fangoria Magazine for a contest with a bucket load of prizes. Let me break it down for you:

WHO: Alan Robert is the bass guitarist of Life of Agony and a comic book creator extraordinaire. He’s the creative genius behind Wire Hangers and the upcoming Crawl to Me, both from IDW Publishing.

WHAT: UNLEASH YOUR INNER DEMON CONTEST by Fangoria Magazine. You could win a year’s subscription to Fangoria Magazine as well as a one-of-a-kind, Crawl to Me ArtGuitar ® Riffmaster Rock Band / Guitar Hero controller with its very own Coffin Case.

WHEN: Now! You can enter the competition right now. The competition closes Monday, August 1st at 5 p.m. and the good part is: you don’t have to buy a damned thing to win!

WHERE: Head on over to the contest website to read through the Official Rules, then enter your details and cross your fingers.

WHY: In celebration of IDW Publishing releasing the first issue of Crawl to Me, which hits shelves worldwide on July 13, 2011.

Not enough Alan Robert goodness for you? Well, on July 22, 2011, if you love Wire Hangers or Life of Agony get down to Forbidden Planet in New York City to meet the man, the artist, the legend, Alan Robert in real life. He’ll be signing issues of Crawl to Me #1 comic and if I were in the area, I’d be bringing my copy of Wire Hangers and Life of Agony memorabilia down for some signatures.

Want more? I got more. After the signing at Forbidden Planet there’s an after party at Angels and Kings and it’s open to the public, baby! Get down and meet and greet with one of my new favorite artists and buy the man a beer.

But most importantly, don’t forget to head over to the contest and get your details in there to win that bucketload of awesome.
