Advanced Comic Review: Crawl to Me #1

For the uninitiated, that means my mind was blown by Crawl to Me #1. This is a great comic in every sense of the word. I started reading this book and literally couldn’t stop. It’s gripping and page-turning and leaves me wanting more.

I want to say so much, but being a comic book that isn’t released yet, I really don’t want to spoil it. But I’ll give you a little set up: Winter. Country town. Snow covers everything. It’s beautiful. Ryan is at his new house with his dog. He’s waiting for furniture to be delivered to the new house. As he waits he speaks to his wife Jessica. Suddenly, Ryan finds himself witness to a police raid on his next door neighbour’s house and chaos ensues.

Getting to the end of this comic, I realized I was reading a completely different book than what I thought I was. Crawl to Me #1 opens with dark and ugly issues BEFORE things go insane. I really don’t know what more to say than that.

If you like comics and you like horror, GET THIS BOOK! I got to the end and almost cried out, “YOU CAN’T LEAVE ME HERE! YOU CAN’T DO THIS TO ME! WHAT NEXT? WHAT NOW?”
