Portal 2 Turret Opera
Those of us who have finished Portal 2, which is hopefully a great number of us, will find this familiar. For those not in the know, I’ll shed some light. This is slightly spoiler-ific, but not by much.
At the end of Portal 2, you find yourself serenaded by an veritable opera of turrets singing the song Cara Mia. If you want a VERY SPOILERY look at it, check out this video.
According to the Combine Overwiki, the song itself was composed by Mike Morasky, a Valve composer. However, musician Sebastian Wolff has created sheet music and produced an a capella version of the song. He also released a video for it, produced with A Capella Records, via Youtube last week.
Read on for the spoiler-free video, and I promise you won’t be disappointed, as I’m honestly struggling to find words to describe how beautiful this piece of music is.
Now, I’m going to go out on a limb here and say that if you didn’t find that spine-tinglingly awesome, then you have something seriously wrong with you, and you should seek medical help. Tell your doctor that your awesome gland has atrophied or something similarly terminal.
Congratulations to everyone involved in this; you broke my heart. You monsters.
