If you’ve been following the latest news on Rockstar’s highly anticipated crime thriller L.A. Noire, then you most likely have April 5th marked as its scheduled release date.

Thanks to a sneaky leaked copy of the game, the release date is now put into question. From Gamespot, “A trailer dubbed ‘Serial Killer’ for Team Bondi’s L.A. Noire found its way to the Internet on Saturday, and on top of offering 90 seconds of new gameplay footage, a release date was shown. According to the video, L.A. Noire will release for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 on May 17.”

So, what now?

Fans won’t have to wait long for another dose of game footage. Last week, Rockstar announced a second trailer will be released January 24th, this Monday! For now, whet your appetite with the mind-blowing video about the amazing technology that brings the characters of L.A. Noire to life after the jump.

Disney needs to seriously invest in this shit.

The faces are so good that it makes other things stand out for not being on par.

What’s crazy is how the faces of the actors match their characters. Could this mean the future of gaming holds some great opportunities for actors in video games? I remember back in the day the PC game Ripper had Christopher Walken and Burgess Meredith starring in it, but everything featuring them was cut scene video.

Think of the possibilities; Angelina Jolie in an actual Tomb Raider game? Or how about your favorite sports stars in an upcoming EA sports release…could get interesting if this technology catches on and developers are interested in paying out big bucks for big names.
