Love radio dramas? Benedict Cumberbatch fan? Don’t miss Cabin Pressure.

Sometimes you can run across the most awesome things in the strangest ways.
It was my obsession with the new BBC Sherlock series that started it. I’m happy to say that I’m now a HUGE fan of Benedict Cumberbatch and I love his voice (if you’ve heard him speak, you’ll know why I love it). While poking around on Amazon to see what else he’s been in, I happened to notice that he’s a narrator for several audio books and one thing that appeared to be a radio drama. Curiously, I ended up purchasing two audiobooks and the one I was unsure about called Cabin Pressure. Follow the jump for more.
Sure enough, Cabin Pressure is a BBC radio drama that already has two seasons out and is working on their third. The setting is an airline (which is made up of one privately owned jet) that is crewed by a young, inexperienced Captain (Cumberbatch), an older First Officer, the owner’s son as a Flight Attendant, and the owner herself.
I’m only a few episodes into the first season and I can’t stop laughing. I’d almost forgotten how wonderful radio dramas can be when they are done well. And this one is worth the $11 price tag through Audible & Amazon. I’m tempted to get the second season before I even finish this one just to continue the comedy.
So if you enjoy radio dramas or even just a good laugh, I’d highly suggest checking out Cabin Pressure.
